It's crazy to think that our now 9-month-old Sawyer has been on the 'outside' just as long as he was on the 'inside'. I'm holding my claim that they are much more fun on the outside!

He has crawled off all his chubs and is dropping on the charts. He's down to 80% in weight at 22 lbs. 8 oz. and is 30" tall at 93%.

He still doesn't have any teeth, although it appears he has a couple working hard to break through on the bottom...also his drool production has increased.

He waves hello and goodbye. He usually sleeps from 8 or 9 p.m. until 5 or 6 a.m. and if I work it right I can get two naps out of him that last about an hour each. He'd definitely rather get in on all the action rather than sleep. He is free standing quite a bit more now, and is very controlled when he goes from the standing to sitting position. He walks along furniture, cupboards, and walls, and will even push a stool along and walk with it. He's a fast crawler and will crawl even faster if he knows he's getting into something he's not supposed to. He's been doing a lot of growling lately and a very cute in and out thing with his tongue (see video). He can do stairs no problem - well the going up part is no problem anyway. He's also getting more 'solid' food with lots of different textures. He LOVES to be outside. He's a very happy, content baby.

So I learned that clipper guards don't really guard against fine hair. Poor Sawyer...his hair is a lot shorter now and has some definite 'chunks' cut out. It's dang hard to cut a squirmy baby's hair!

This video sort of gives you an idea of the cute little tongue action he's been doing lately. He was distracted, so you don't get the full effect.

We love this little guy SO much! What a blessing to have him in our home.
