...to the grand world of FOOD! Moving on from creamy milk to
brown rice cereal. I've been doing a little research on making my own baby food this go round. I found a neat site called
Weelicious. After doing some research I think it's going to be fun and fairly easy, especially with the vitamix (best graduation present ever - thanks mom and dad :). Not sure why I didn't do this with Sawyer! Might have had to do with moving a couple times and being pregnant... Anyway, here are some photos of our baby Jack growing up way too fast. I see sweet potatoes, carrots, pears, plums, green beans, peas, squash, bananas, and much, much more in his near future :)
He gagged and then begged for more...we'll call it a success!
Just one month from today Sawyer will turn 2-years-old!! Where did that year go? Sheesh.
We (read: George) built a compost box and we've already loaded three buckets of composting material into it in less than a week. We've got gardening on our minds. Goal this week: buy a shovel. We like to set attainable goals :)
And if you're looking for a great way to use your kale (or just need some extra iron in your diet), I highly recommend this recipe:
Massaged Kale Salad. I've made it twice this past week, delish!
