Procrastination Pay Day
The saying goes "play now, pay later." The 'later' came today. I 'graduated' two years ago...really just walked because I had one measly general ed history class to complete. So I've been doing this d*!# history class through independent study for the last two years. Of course it comes down to the day I'm moving across the country that I have to take my final. Last night I was in such a rotten mood trying to pack and read through flash cards, not accomplishing either. Seriously who cares about the architect that came up with simplicity of form and no ornamentation??! If you do care his name was Le Corbusier. Ugh! So I'm going to take my final at 12:30 p.m. and then we're driving to Florida. And yes it is DUMPING snow right now. Of course. But I'm feeling much more optimistic today and it'll all work out, right? Right!

Tumbleweed Torch
Last night I went outside to see what George was up to...it cracked me up...this is what I found:

George and his torch

Kyson and Kaden with just one of the piles of tumbleweed we made.
We live in the wind path of tumbleweeds and they are always getting piled up in the lilac bushes and rocks lining the driveway. So we had a party and torched the tumbleweeds! And in case you were wondering, tumbleweed smells nasty when it burns. But oh how I love spring and that it brings fun outside chores like this. We are having a cookout tonight, I can't wait!

Friday the 13th....ohhhh!
I've always thought the number 13 was very LUCKY! It might have something to do with it being my birhtday :)
I had a fantastic day thanks to my wonderful husband and great family and friends. Thank you all!! My morning started out with breakfast in bed (breakfast aka ice-cream cake) mmm! George knew the right way to start the day off...chocolate!! George was so cute and kept leaving me surprises in my car throughout the day. I loved the flower he got me this year...I just wonder where he found it and had the idea? It's cute and every time I drive my car I'm reminded that he loves me...what a smart guy!

I was lucky enough to have three birthday dinners this year too...people must think I'm too skinny, ha, I wish! I got some new beach clothes, stuff for my kitchen, an hour long massage (YES, can't wait to use it!), new decor for my apartment in Florida - including a picture of the Manti Temple (which I didn't have yet), some books, and a flooding of facebook wishes. I scored big time, thanks everyone for making 27 feel so good :)

Announcement!
Well winter just won't leave us alone here in southern Utah. We woke up to more snow on the ground this morning. So George and I have decided to take things into our own hands and move somewhere that we can have a year-round tan...we're moving to Florida!! This has been in the works for quite a while actually, but we finally got all the loan docs signed today and George will be starting helicopter pilot school on April 6th. We're so happy that his dream is finally becoming a reality. The town is called Titusville, it's about 45 minutes east of Orlando, right on the coast next to the Kennedy Space Center. We're thinking we might get more visitors in Florida than we did in Nebraska ;) hint hint!

This is the Schweizer 300CBi - one of the choppers that George will be training in. Can you believe how tiny it looks...almost like our own little baby, haha :)

Good Remedies for Bad Hair
Are you having a bad hair day?? Do you juggle all your hair products trying to get the right look?
During the summer of 2007 the girls went up to Jackson Hole to visit my lil sis, Alethea. We made this amazing home video which will provide you with Good Remedies for Bad Hair. On my computer I can play the separate videos as one sequence, but I don't know how to make it work on the blog. It was a fun 'project' and at least we have one fan...as I was at the computer tonight Kaden requested the video so I thought I'd share it with all of you. Enjoy :)
