Independence Day

We had a fantastic 4th of July. We never left the house and didn't even watch fireworks, but it was so pleasant to be at home playing together. We painted on the driveway, swam in the backyard and had a picnic. Of course there were popsicles all along the way... Then we got shaving cream out to play with on the table. We ended the day with baths and bedtime books. It was simple and great. I love my little family and the freedom we enjoy is such a blessing!

Fly swatters + poster paint = messy fun!

Oh man, these little boys love their papa so much!

Oh yea, it feels good!

Yep - George felt left out so he buzzed his hair too. Now I have three lucky heads to rub :)

Maybe next year it'll be worth keeping the boys up past their bedtime to watch loud exploding fire. I kind of missed watching them - enough to walk outside to see if I could see any from the yard, but with the flat grounds and tall trees of Florida, I didn't even see one spark. Oh well, I still went to bed happy and content.
Happy Independence Day!

What?! 5 years! Wow. It feels like just the other day we were at SUU lodge up the canyon and eating great chocolate goodies! Congratulations on the 5 years! Your family is just too cute--it is the eyes :)
I am glad I was not the only one to stay home on the 4th hee hee. I admit the internet was a huge time sucker for me. But I miss getting new project ideas and patterns and recipes to try.
What a great summer you are having! Thank you so much for sharing! I love seeing the 'cousins' and all the fun you have!
