Mother's Day

Feeling so blessed these two beautiful little people call me 'mom'.

When did Sawyer become a giant??

Also so blessed that George and I were both raised by wonderful women. Now that I have children it really makes me wonder how our moms did such a great job raising so many kids. We certainly have great examples to follow. Happy Mother's Day!

Bucky the Horse

Bucky the horse is fortunately not named for his 'bucking' nature. George has been wanting to get Sawyer out on a horse, and on cinco de Mayo we were able to finally do that. I thought Sawyer would be hesitant being so close to a large animal...nope. He walked right up to the horse and patted his nose like it was no big deal. In fact it would have made me feel more comfortable if he would have shown a little more fear. Where is my child's sense of survival? Sheesh! I'm a little nervous around horses. They are SO big and skittish. It doesn't help that whenever I go riding I seem to always get the naughty or lazy horse. Anyway I'm glad Sawyer loved riding around and was perfectly content and felt safe with his papa.

Mom's Dream

Simultaneous Sleepers!

This is what the boys in our house look like at the moment. So quiet around here! Now I must go get some things done, or take a nap?

His & Hers

His & Hers

Pictured above is a 1963 Chevy and 1963 GMC. George's favorite old trucks. He is keeping the blue one - it runs and is legal. He's owned three different trucks like this since we've been married. He is going to sell the Chevy, but we thought it'd be fun to get a photo first.

Oh yea, I can see us living on a ranch driving these trucks around :)

1-month-old Jack

I'm not sure how a month already scooted by so quickly. Jack doesn't seem like a 'newborn' anymore. His unofficial weight is already 13.4 lbs! I guess it's the cream he likes to eat every 2-3 hours. I love having big babies, they seem more content in their bodies and seem to sleep better too, but it is a little bit sad that they grow out of the 'newborn' phase so quickly. I've been so blessed to have another mild, calm baby that eats and sleeps well. He's quite the snorter and grunter  which cracks Sawyer up. He is a joy to have in our family!

He's been smiling a lot more lately :)

We usually give baths in the kitchen sink, but this pic was taken in the bathroom, just for a quick soak in warm water. Jack was so relaxed he slept through tub time!

Lounging after a bath.

SO strong! He doesn't mind tummy time and can hold his head up for a good minute or so.

Gazing out the window...
