Photo Update

Remember when George came home and snuggled up to napping Sawyer? Here they are after Sawyer woke up :)

Sawyer's 'playpen' - the deck at Grandpa and Grandma Lewis' home. He's content for quite some time playing out there by himself.

Sawyer LOVES music and usually can be seen dancing and singing along, or creating his own.

Cousins and cookies, life is good!

Observing papa brush his teeth as he brushes his own teeth. He looks so grown up and adorable!

Sawyer blowing me kisses. He crawled up on the couch in between Grandpa Jerry and Aunt Alethea and started giving kisses to both of them back and forth, back and forth. I brought the camera over and then he leaned towards me and blew me a kiss :)

Air Show

We headed to St George on Saturday to watch the Thunder Over Utah Air Show. It was fun to see the jets and other aircraft (including the Blue Angels). Amazing that they can fly so close together at such great speeds! It was a windy day, but still fun. We opted to watch from a bluff near the airport instead of fight traffic and people at the tarmac. It was perfect...we had a picnic and Sawyer was able to play in the sand. It's so nice to be together as a family and be doing 'normal' things. Now if we could just convince #2 to come out and play!!

3-0

Thirty. Here it is! Getting old was actually pretty anti-climatic...no trips to the hospital or anything exciting like that. I guess I won't have to share my birthday with this new little guy after all. George and Sawyer spoiled me right off by letting me sleep in until 8 am and then serving me breakfast in bed :) It was great! For my breakfast dessert I found a fresh batch of almond roca that Alethea made and left at my door. So yummy! I will not tell you how fast I finished it. I got a pedicure...so wonderful and relaxing. It was a most relaxing day, and that's about all I'm up for these days. George ordered lunch in and then my sistas and mamasita made a yummy dinner of steak and broccoli and George made strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was fantastic. And George is making me a special box..maybe I will reveal it on the blog some day :) Thanks to all my family and friends that make sure I feel so loved, not only on my birthday, but everyday!

Sawyer was very impressed by the fiery candles on my cake. Everyone thought it was weird that I didn't want chocolate for my dessert. What can I say...pregnancy makes me weird. And now ever since I ate this on my birthday all I want is angel food cake, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. It was SO good, exactly what I wanted!

I've been wanting to get a profile shot of my belly and Sawyer's belly...he has quite the tum tum to match mine :)

He's Home!

George pulled in at 10:30 this morning!! I forgot I was pregnant for a minute and ran up and jumped on him to give him a big hug...my huge belly almost took him out, haha. We had a yummy brunch of waffles, eggs, and bacon and then George snuggled up to Sawyer who was already napping. I'm so excited for Sawyer to wake up and see his papa here :) Now Baby Canuck is welcome to make his debut any time. So happy to be together as a family again!

Surviving

These last few weeks have been rough in the health department. Sawyer came down with a fever/cough/cold thing the beginning of February along with getting in his molars (he has three now, just one to go). A week later I caught the same thing and it seems like we've been cycling through a few different bugs since then. I think we're finally on the mend...just in time too. I can't imagine how miserable it would be to go through labor and delivery while being sick with no energy. Not sure if I could do it. Thankfully Sawyer and I are both feeling much better, not quite 100% but getting there finally! My little sister, Alethea, has been in town and her and my mom have been taking turns being on Sawyer night duty since he's been waking up two times every night and then is ready to be up at 5 am. It's been soooo nice to be able to sleep through the night and I think that's what's made the most difference in kicking this bug. Our dear George has been working hard up in Canada. He'll be gone a total of 20 days, working 17 of those. We're talking 14 hour days, yikes! Plus he had the job to move out of our condo and clean it on those days off. Poor guy will need a break by the time he makes the 18 hour drive back to Utah. He will be home in a week, yay! We are counting down the days!!! We feel so very blessed to have so much support from our extended families...Jody and Alison up in BC and my parents and sisters here in Utah. We are so appreciative! Here are some recent photos...

Working out with grandpa. Sawyer really gets into it and moves his whole body along with grandpa.

Grandma and Sawyer blowing bubbles.

Sawyer is lucky to have Alethea around these days...he definitely wouldn't be out on hikes like this with mom right now!

Helping Auntie Alethea in the kitchen. Can you tell he's a little climber??

Thought I'd throw this on here because he is so cute :)

The lil devil himself :)
