Surviving

These last few weeks have been rough in the health department. Sawyer came down with a fever/cough/cold thing the beginning of February along with getting in his molars (he has three now, just one to go). A week later I caught the same thing and it seems like we've been cycling through a few different bugs since then. I think we're finally on the mend...just in time too. I can't imagine how miserable it would be to go through labor and delivery while being sick with no energy. Not sure if I could do it. Thankfully Sawyer and I are both feeling much better, not quite 100% but getting there finally! My little sister, Alethea, has been in town and her and my mom have been taking turns being on Sawyer night duty since he's been waking up two times every night and then is ready to be up at 5 am. It's been soooo nice to be able to sleep through the night and I think that's what's made the most difference in kicking this bug. Our dear George has been working hard up in Canada. He'll be gone a total of 20 days, working 17 of those. We're talking 14 hour days, yikes! Plus he had the job to move out of our condo and clean it on those days off. Poor guy will need a break by the time he makes the 18 hour drive back to Utah. He will be home in a week, yay! We are counting down the days!!! We feel so very blessed to have so much support from our extended families...Jody and Alison up in BC and my parents and sisters here in Utah. We are so appreciative! Here are some recent photos...

Working out with grandpa. Sawyer really gets into it and moves his whole body along with grandpa.

Grandma and Sawyer blowing bubbles.

Sawyer is lucky to have Alethea around these days...he definitely wouldn't be out on hikes like this with mom right now!

Helping Auntie Alethea in the kitchen. Can you tell he's a little climber??

Thought I'd throw this on here because he is so cute :)

My Valentine's ♥

There they are! My handsome Valentine's ♥ with another one in hiding of course. He'll emerge shortly...less than 6 weeks!

I got to be with my love on Valentine's Day...these days it's a treat just to be together! We had a pleasant late lunch out together. Just three weeks to go until we're together full time again. We can't wait!

Sawyer's 15-month-old stats (really it would be 15.5 months)
Weight: 25 lbs 4 oz. - 39%
Height: 33 inches - 90%
Head Circumference: 49 1/4 cm - 91%

Tall, slim, and smart! Sounds like he's growing up to be just like his papa :)

He got his first molar in the past couple weeks and his 9th tooth is coming in on the bottom in front. It's made for some sleepless nights. He is doing pretty well with his new twin bed though. There has only been a couple naps where I've found him sleeping somewhere on his floor. He is saying a lot of words now, and is good at mimicking the last words of the sentences we say. It's hard to believe that at his next appointment his baby brother will be going with him. It'll be fun to see Sawyer interact with him. Grandma Lewis has a dolly that he snuggles for at least a few minutes each day...I'm taking that as a good sign that he'll be just as sweet with baby brother. It's amazing how big our baby has gotten in such a short time!

Belly Bumpin'

My bestie, Aly, came through town on Sunday. Although you can't tell...she is 24+ weeks along with baby girl Miriam, and I'm 34 weeks along with baby boy (name to be determined). We had to get a shot of our bellies, because someday these two babies just might get married! Haha :) I love Aly and am so happy we found each other our freshman year of college in Hawaii almost 11 years ago...man we're getting old! There is nothing like a girl friend that you can laugh and cry and talk and just be a girl with! It's always a good time with Aly, no matter what we are doing. I look up to her so much and appreciate the great advice she gives me. Love you Aly. Can't wait to meet Miriam :)

Month of Love

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."
